Essential Information
All of our Mindwork therapists are members of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such follow their ethical principles and standards. (A full breakdown of those guidelines can be found at www.bacp.co.uk)
To ensure the safety of all Mindwork clients and therapists we uphold clear boundaries when providing therapy and feel it’s important these boundaries are fully understood.
Mindwork is not a crisis, advice, or medical treatment service
It is imperative that you understand we are not any of the three areas listed above. Yes, we are entirely focused on supporting each client’s well-being but if at any point you think certain problems require specific crisis support or indeed medical services, please contact the NHS or relevant emergency services directly.
Mindwork is confidential albeit there are legal & ethical limits
This brings us to the topic of confidentiality. All sessions are confidential, however if the client is at serious risk of harming themselves or others the therapist will need to involve a third party. If possible, this will be discussed with the client before action is taken.
All UK therapists must utilise the services of a clinical supervisor and as such details of your conversations may be shared between those two parties to ensure best practice is followed and any actions remain within ethical guidelines. However, records are not kept and a client’s identity is always anonymised.
Mindwork is focused on a professional client experience
Our therapists are insured and practice under UK law within BACP guidelines, every aspect of Mindwork support is also GDPR compliant. Therefore, you can rest assured our team are selected because they are outstanding practitioners. If you feel any experience falls below this high standard, then please contact us and we will investigate immediately and respond accordingly.
Mindwork needs you to be open-minded and prepare
Those individuals who approach a session(s) with us in an open manner get the most benefit, so please be prepared and treat each session as an opportunity for personal growth. This includes ensuring you are on time and that you are seated in a private space, with good internet connectivity. We are aware problems can arise but wherever possible please be early and test your local connection.
Oh, and lastly so you are aware here is our session cancellation policy
As with most practitioners’ appointments we need 24 hrs notice to reschedule a session.
